Tesla’s Electric ATV – The Cyberquad is Finally Making an Appearance
Elon Musk’s Tesla has been making headlines since the launch of the Cybertruck in 2019. The electric vehicle manufacturer then gave the audience an additional surprise by showcasing its electric ATV named Cyberquad on the same stage. This introduction led to several questions and speculations on whether the company would genuinely invest in its production or not. Finally, after four years, we have some good news – Tesla is still planning on the Cyberquad’s production.
When Tesla released the Cybertruck, people were impressed with its futuristic design and heavy-hauling abilities. Although the Cyberquad was only a side showcase, it also grabbed a lot of attention. As per the CEO’s confirmation, it was going to be an option for Cybertruck buyers. Unfortunately, both the Cybertruck and the Cyberquad’s progress was curtailed because of several factors.
However, last week, Tesla filed for a new “Cyberquad” trademark for “all terrain vehicles; land vehicles; electric vehicles,” which indicates that the company is still serious about producing the electric ATV. Although the success and progress of the Cybertruck were responsible for delaying the production of the Cyberquad, Tesla is still moving forward with its plans.
The Cyberquad’s features and specifications remain undisclosed, but it is expected to fit perfectly into the Cybertruck’s bed. The ATV is said to be all-electric, meaning that it will not release any potentially harmful emissions. Electric propulsion systems pave the way for lower operational costs, lower noise levels, and reduced carbon footprint that align with Tesla’s brand values.
Regarding when the Cyberquad will hit the market, no official statement has been made yet. Tesla’s approach is usually keeping its plans in-house. Elon Musk, while responding to a similar question received on Twitter, said that they were working on it and gave a timeframe of about six to eight months. This makes us hopeful about the Cyberquad’s production being sooner than later.
Tesla’s Cyberquad’s production has been teased for over four years, and now fans of the company have something to look forward to finally. The trademark filing for the electric ATV shows that the company has not given up on it, and they plan to bring it to the market soon. The limited information available on Cyberquad’s features only increases curiosity around it. As for now, we will have to wait for an official statement on its release. Till then, Tesla enthusiasts can start imagining cruising on a quiet, all-electric ATV with no environmental impact.
