Volkswagen is finally ready to unveil the ID. Buzz LWB, a long-wheelbase version of its popular electric minivan. After months of testing and speculation, we finally have our first look at the production model. Spied without camouflage, the ID. Buzz LWB looks to be nearly identical to what was shown in concept form, giving us a glimpse at what the US model could look like. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the Volkswagen ID. Buzz LWB and explore some of the changes that have been made since its concept debut.

Exterior design

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz LWB was recently spied without camouflage, giving us a first look at the US-specced model. The ID. Buzz is based on the iconic VW Bus and features an electric powertrain with up to 369 horsepower and a range of up to 342 miles.

The exterior design of the ID. Buzz is an evolution of the classic VW Bus, with a modern twist. The front end features a prominent grille with the VW logo, flanked by LED headlights. Powertrain

The rear motor will be capable of producing up to 201 hp and 228 lb-ft of torque, while the front motor will produce up to 268 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Combined, the two motors will give the ID. Buzz a total output of 369 hp and 496 lb-ft of torque.

Power will be sent to all four wheels via an adaptive air suspension system that can raise or lower the ride height as needed. The ID. Buzz will also come standard with an Intelligent Battery Management system that will help optimize battery performance and range.

Based on what we know so far, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz looks like it’s going to be a pretty impressive vehicle. It has plenty of power, plenty of features, and should be able to handle just about anything you throw at it. We’ll have to wait until it officially launches to know for sure, but we’re definitely excited for it.
